Neon Blitz

This is a free demo build of Neon Blitz.
For the best experience, download and run the build rather than playing in your browser. The browser version works, but the downloadable build runs smoother and looks the way it is meant to.
Out in the dark, something is building, and it is not patient about it. Neon Blitz is a survivors-like where you aim your own way out. Read the swarm, blitz the openings, and stack explosive synergies into a loadout that carves the horde apart. Where most games in the genre fire for you, this one puts the aim in your hands and the fight in front of you.
BRACE
The horde shows its hand before it strikes. Warning lanes streak across the field and full-screen alerts flare up before a wave breaks, so a wall of enemies is always a threat you can see coming. Read the signs, find your gap, and dash through before it closes. And every enemy reads differently: stalkers crowd in, harassers needle you from the edges, and bulls come barreling straight through. Half of staying alive is knowing what is about to happen.
BUILD
Outlasting the swarm is only the start. Between the chaos you choose upgrades that rewrite how you play: new weapons, passives that bend the rules, synergies that turn a solid run into a runaway one. Feed lightning into your chain attacks, drop explosive gifts in your wake as you dash, mark enemies and drain them to keep yourself alive. The further you push, the more the loadout becomes unmistakably yours.
BLITZ
Push far enough and the screen starts to belong to you. Blades orbit and shred anything that drifts close, lightning forks between a dozen enemies at once, and damage piles up faster than the horde can replace itself. Runs that opened with careful reads end as a storm you simply walk through. See how deep you can cut before the dark pulls you under.
KEY FEATURES
- Read the Horde: Telegraphed waves and distinct enemy behavior make survival a game of positioning and timing, not luck.
- Active and Passive Weapons: Line up and place every shot with your active weapons, while passive weapons branch off your playstyle and trigger on their own.
- Find Your Synergies: Combine weapons and upgrades into loadouts that play differently from one run to the next.
- Dash and Strike: Blink through openings and cap your dash with a close-range burst.
- Replayable Runs: Tight, fast sessions built to pull you back for one more.
This is an early demo, and feedback is genuinely useful right now. If something feels off or you just want more of it, let me know.

Great design and sound effects.
I got all the power-ups in about 6 minutes, but in the end, there was nothing showing the time or score.
I played Version v0.0.1a.
I really liked the concept too. The difficulty curve is quite good for now, but since I couldn't continue, I can't comment on the rest.
There are too many card features and selection options, so every time I level up, I see the same cards, which means I know exactly what I can get.
Other than that, everything was very clear and enjoyable. Thank you.
Appreciate the feedback!
You can actually reach a victory screen if you survive 10 minutes. Though right now it does require buying the health upgrade repeatedly once the other upgrades run out.
I’ll be adding more upgrade variety soon, and I’ll make the victory/game over screens a lot clearer with some kind of score or time display at the end.
Thanks so much for playing and taking the time to write this up. Really glad you enjoyed it!
